Yes, Izz. It's about weather. The United Nations is using the day this year to raise awareness of the climate at the North and South poles, and to encourage research. Most of the time they help track and understand the world's climate.

They have an online gallery of kids pictures of weather from around the world, and it's actually not boring! One kid in Belize painted a hurricane. There's windstorms and sunsets and rain. Not bad at all. I wonder if there's "School Closed for Snow Day." I'd like that one.
