I just read this. Gaia Girls "Enter the Earth" is a book about why we need to save the environment. It's about a girl named Elizabeth who lives on an organic farm in upstate New York. When she's wandering around the creek in her backyard she sees an otter walking on two legs. Elizabeth goes to investigate and the otter talks to her and says her name is Gaia and that she is the world and that she needs help.

This book is very exciting and scary at the same time. I would recommend it to people who like fantasy fiction and realistic fiction. It also has a lot of factual stuff in there. The book jacket says it's for people 9 and up and it's the first of a series. The Gaia Girls web site is pretty good.
