Thanksgiving's done and December's here. That means the growing season is officially over in most of the US.

Don't worry, Izz. If you drink plenty of milk and eat your spinach, I'm sure you'll get taller.
Not my growing season, Dex! I mean for fruits and vegetables. The ones that grow on farms. For the rest of the winter, most of the food we eat will be canned, dried, or come from warmer places like California, Florida, or even other countries.
*Gasp!* You mean, no more farmers market goodies? The crazy purple, white, and yellow carrots? The gourds with bumpy warts? The wall of radishes? The tomatoes that look good enough to roll around in? It's all GONE?!
Um, yeah. But don't worry, they'll all be back next year.
Hey, wait! Dex, stop! That tomato's been in the fridge for like a month... I don't think you want to roll in that one!
