The season for Christmas trees and gift giving may be over, but we're still getting mail from our friends telling us what they did to make Christmas 2008 AGAP (as green as possible)!!
Alina from New Jersey made her own cards:
Instead of buying cards from the store, I made cards. The cards were more personal than store-bought ones. It was also a lot of fun!
And Rachel Jane from Ohio used an outdoor Christmas tree:
Instead of cutting down a tree taking the mess indoors and then having the trouble of decorating it, have the tree outdoors. You heard me, outside if there is a pine tree, evergreen, or maybe a palm tree if you live in Florida and decorate it to your chooseing. It'll stay alive and you can decorate it every year!
Plus, Chanel from Arizona saved lots of paper:
Me and my family every chirstmas use the paper over and over again we try not to rip it so it stays nice. i think we shuld all make a difference even if its reuseing just a tiny bit of paper. we got to do it now because theres not always going to be trees!!!
