Have you ever heard of a free-form gift swap?
Have you ever heard of a free-form gift swap?
No. But if it involves gifts for me, then count me in!
It involves gifts for everyone! People just did one in Boston. All you had to do was bring a wrapped gift. But not something you bought: it had to be something you already had, or something you found. And it couldn't be wrapped in wrapping paper: it had to be something reused.
So then they all stood in a circle with their presents, like in this picture?
Yeah! And then they traded gifts with all the other people. One girl got a humongous ear! Another guy got a big traffic cone. It was crazy! But they reused all that stuff and made people happy instead of throwing it in the garbage. They say as soon as you wrap something up, it becomes a gift.
So you're saying on Hoyt's birthday I can just take some compost, wrap it in newspaper, and voila!!
