Don't you love recycling? And the fact that the city comes and picks up our recyclables for us?

Yes, dear cousin, it's quite convenient.
Well, get this! In San Francisco, they have municipal composting. The garbage trucks come around and pick up your compost too, along with your trash and recycling. It's all organized: black bin for trash, blue bin for recycling, and green bin for compost!
You're kidding. They'll pick up your leftover eggshells and apple cores and table scraps? Separate from your garbage?
I know, it's cool. And they've had that for a while. But what's new is that they've made composting mandatory — that means everyone in the city HAS to do it! They're not allowed to put food waste in the regular old trash anymore because it's such a waste. It all goes into a giant compost pile that becomes fertilizer for local farms and vineyards.
Pretty awesome. So should we move to San Francisco? Or should we just mail our compost over there?
